Project Goal

The main goal was to ensure students have access to high-quality education by upholding rigorous educational standards and fostering research, innovation, and new programs. To achieve this, we collected and analyzde information about international students pursuing academic goals in Ontario.

Process
Through conducting a literature review and organizing focus group interviews with 10 international students, we obtained valuable insights and formulated recommendations.
Recommendations
  • Implement a standardized format for program and course information on the institution's website to enhance accessibility.
  • Provide a concise, annually reviewed syllabus format for better student preparation.
  • Increase funding for colleges and universities through the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities, focusing on technology, research, and curriculum adaptation.
  • Collaborate with institutions for a supportive community environment, offering resources for language support, cultural adjustment, and career development.
  • Facilitate free visa consultations for international students.
  • Establish a tuition fee waiver program targeting those facing financial difficulties.
  • Monitor cost breakdown structures to reduce expenses and alleviate financial burdens.
  • Allow international students to attend job recruitment events at any educational institution.
